My name is Meghan McKinney and I am an English literature graduate from Eastern Kentucky University and an avid supporter of indie music. I developed this strategic plan and website as partial fulfillment of my thesis project for EKU's Honors Program, but I intend for it to extend beyond the scope of campus, even of academia. Indie music scenes encompass and perpetuate a vibrant culture that is an incredibly valuable asset to any city, and Lexington is no exception. With the help of this strategic plan, the city of Lexington, and the residents of the city, I fervently hope and plan to improve the existing indie music scene and foster its development so that Lexington and its people may experience this exciting environment for as long as possible.
